Electrician/Maintenance

Summary Of Responsibility

Perform a variety of highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and overhaul production and facility equipment.

Essential Job Functions

Work involves most of the following:

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance/repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Able to wire motors for 208, 230, and 480 VAC, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and DC drives.
  • Perform regularly scheduled/preventive maintenance on bearings, drive chains, conveyor systems, machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Follow company safety and lockout/tagout guidelines to ensure guards are in place and that power is shut off when repairing equipment.
  • Work flexible schedule, including occasional weekends, overtime, and off shifts.
  • Troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, inverters, VFDs, DC drives, and electrical and electronic systems.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and PM check list and fill out all corresponding paperwork for ISO and PM compliance.

  • Understand and observe all company safety standards.
  • Job involves use of hearing protection, work with water based inks, use of degreasers and solvents, and other lubricants.
  • Must be highly mobile and able to access all areas of the premises.
  • Ability to concentrate and remain focused, while handling multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects.
  • Ability to work over eight hours in a work day, and over 40 in a work week as necessary.
  • Use of close vision and fine motor skills to detect quality issues.
  • Vision abilities including close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Position requires constant standing, frequent reaching, use of hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, stretching and crouching and occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds, pushing paper rolls that weigh up to 500 pounds, constant close attention to detail, use of close vision and fine motor skills to detect quality issues and occasional communication with supervisor or other employees.
