Outside Sales Representative


Specialty is a leading label and packaging manufacturer based in East Windsor, CT, with clients in the grocery, pharmaceutical, medical, and postal industries.

Our sales team is expanding, so we can bring sustainable labeling solutions to new customers.  Are you a highly-motivated, results-driven, B2B Sales Representative?  We are looking for someone to generate new client relationships and drive overall business development by actively opening up communication with potential customers.  

Specialty is rapidly expanding, as we have had multiple years of double-digit growth due to heavy reinvestment in the latest manufacturing tools.

Essential Job Functions

The outside sales representative will be responsible for:

  • Generating leads to help meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Present and promote company products and services to prospective customers.
  • Establish, develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Escalate, expedite and ultimately resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions and offering recommendations to management.
  • Give sales presentations to a wide range of prospective clients that highlight our company’s features and benefits as well as offering solutions to customer challenges.
  • Coordinate sales efforts by utilizing other departments and teams within our company.
  • Provide sales team with modern marketing support for targeted campaigns and lead cultivation.

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 1 to 3 years of professional industry experience and a proven track record of success as a sales representative for printed label products or related industry
  • Experience selling into retail, shipping logistic, food manufacturing, medical and beverage industries a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Experience with HubSpot (or similar CRM system)
  • Excellent selling and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Travel is expected up to 25% of the time
